FC Citylife B 1 – 1 Monash Promise Keepers (Monash win on penalties)
The big finale of the season was the final of the President’s Shield between FC Citylife B and Monash Promise Keepers. It was a very close match, with FC Citylife leading 1-0 at half-time, while Monash equalised early in the second half, forcing a penalty shoot-out. The shoot-out was a reflection of regular time, with the scores level after the first 5 strikers. Eventually, FC Citylife ran out of luck as their 8th penalty missed the mark, granting Monash Promise Keepers the President’s Shield.
Well done to all of the players, with a special thanks to Ken, Hans and Dave who filled the gaps in the team.
